The supporters of Mondongo Juniors booed when Nonogasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Millrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mondongo Juniors were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Nonogasta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luciano Argider took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Marcelo Polo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mondongo Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 56th minute, Remigio Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Liher in the 59th minute of play forced Nonogasta's goalkeeper Evaristo Efraim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Efraim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Polo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play Nonogasta's Herminio Ponc was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Evaristo Efraim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Liher's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Evaristo Efraim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Liher, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Carmelo Liher notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Nonogasta's Evaristo Efraim. Evaristo Efraim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 74 minutes into the game, Everardo Obano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nonogasta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mondongo Juniors the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Nonogasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Obano to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Polo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mondongo Juniors's Marcelo Polo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mondongo Juniors had played much better football throughout.
