The referee ignored Colón's protests and gave Fausto Harkaitz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Colón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Harkaitz to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Garikoitz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Epifanio Macerio sent off a good shot on target. Epifanio Macerio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Garikoitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Oscar Chepe tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Christian Pudes. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Quintyn made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Colón's zone, Epifanio Macerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Garikoitz came out of the goal and Epifanio Macerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cirilo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Christian Pudes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Figueroa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Pudes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
