Teofilo Pacorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Quentin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Teofilo Pacorro made a precise shot to the right of Alonzo Gaspard. Les Blues 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Everardo Cesaro came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Santa Fe Union fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Cesaro couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Dayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Isaias Fagondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Omar Iturri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Fagondo. Santa Fe Union's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Iturri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Fe Union's zone, Salvador Chap stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Fagondo came out of the goal and Salvador Chap tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaias Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Chap in the 45th minute of play. With 46 minutes on the clock, Justino Itzaina commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 47 played minutes Santa Fe Union got a freekick which was hit by Justino Itzaina. Isaias Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Mambru in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Millano to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Millano in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Gaspard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Santa Fe Union booed when Les Blues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Chap didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Les Blues and the Santa Fe Union players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Eliseo Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
