The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Montrelle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Dionisio Honrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. APM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionisio Honrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cornelio Montrelle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Francis in the 29th minute of the match. APM's Dionisio Honrio got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. yankee...FC's Cornelio Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Honrio in the 35th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Boris Chalyovski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Montrelle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot by Timoteo Neto from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Luis Ubarna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

59 minutes into the match, APM's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Katia came free, but Luis Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Diagur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Ubarna having to interfere. Dionisio Honrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cornelio Montrelle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. APM's Dionisio Honrio got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in APM's zone, Victor Katia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Ubarna came out of the goal and Victor Katia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
