After 39 played minutes, Mollaco AFC's Tomas Eutropio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sixto Llorian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mollaco AFC reached it. 42 minutes into the match, Honorato Guillem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixto Llorian. San Martín de Mendoza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorato Guillem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Honorato Guillem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Llorian having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Juan Oriche was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Mollaco AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Martín de Mendoza:s goal. Andres Miliano went to the wrong direction when Israel Efren was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sixto Llorian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Casomiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Casomiro in the 60th minute of play forced San Martín de Mendoza's goalkeeper Sixto Llorian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75th play minutes Eugenio Casomiro shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Sixto Llorian and just under the crossbar into goal. Eugenio Casomiro charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugenio Casomiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sixto Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Casomiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
