The referee ignored RIVER's protests and gave Arnoldo Gilabert a yellow card for diving instead. Arsenio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Lekubegi in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Sabagasta FC booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ulises Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabagasta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Lekubegi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Feliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the game, Sabagasta FC's Carolo Ebardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arsenio Feliu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Arsenio Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Marciano Evangelista came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the RIVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Evangelista couldn't finish the play. Arsenio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Gonzalez in the 47th minute of the match.

RIVER's Valentin Victoro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Norberto Ramond in the 52 minute of the game. Komar Arsah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Raimundo Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Komar Arsah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Feliu came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sabagasta FC's Carolo Ebardo. But to his dismay, Carolo Ebardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Komar Arsah kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Javier Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Arsenio Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Sabagasta FC's Arsenio Feliu threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carolo Ebardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Javier Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabagasta FC played a much better game than RIVER and deserved their victory. The RIVER players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
