After 12 minutes of play, RIVER's Komar Arsah made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Federigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Komar Arsah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Federigo. Juancho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Komar Arsah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Arsenio Feliu made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Cipriano Iratze sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Mino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Aaron Federigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Juancho's goal looked a bit too open when Komar Arsah came free, but Aaron Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Iratze came free, but Arsenio Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Federigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Komar Arsah in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Komar Arsah to make the kick off. Marciano Evangelista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aaron Federigo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. 62 minutes into the match, Juancho's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Evangelista came free, but Aaron Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Juancho booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Komar Arsah didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Martxot in the 65th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Arsenio Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenio Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. Juancho's Aaron Federigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Juancho from getting a goal against them. Arsenio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Iratze in the 85th minute of the match. Victor Martxot struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Arsenio Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juancho. When Manuel Dacio came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Juancho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Dacio couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, Benicio Victoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juancho the free kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. RIVER had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
