Leo Urtsin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Gabon went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Arsenio Teodor took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Isidro Blai to make any attempt to save it. Los Piratas's Isidro Blai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Los Piratas from getting a goal against them. Leo Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Arsenio Teodor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Los Piratas's zone, Basilio Jakes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Blai came out of the goal and Basilio Jakes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Los Piratas's Julio Ganix got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Martinez in the 30th minute of play forced Arbolito's goalkeeper Leo Urtsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Los Piratas a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Truylos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arbolito's Leo Urtsin. 2-2. Gregorio Matei hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Gualterio Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Piratas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Igon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Urtsin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arsenio Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Los Piratas were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Isidro Blai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Teodor in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Raimundo Chabier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Arbolito defense, Gualterio Igon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leo Urtsin. The Arbolito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leo Urtsin should have stopped the shot. Arbolito's Leo Urtsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Martinez in the 66th minute of play. Arsenio Teodor succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-4. Leo Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Igon, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Arsenio Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Blai having to interfere. Leo Urtsin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Baladi in the 83rd minute. Arsenio Teodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Isidro Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Arbolito's Francisco Viviano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidro Blai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidro Blai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Teodor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Blai having to interfere. The Arbolito manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Los Piratas to win.
