After a defensive mix-up in Douglas Haig's zone, Ezequiel Huly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Oinaz came out of the goal and Ezequiel Huly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Larra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Honorato Lucila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Antonio Larra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amador Natal hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Douglas Haig's Honorato Lucila got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victoriano Padro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ezequiel Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrizal AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Huly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristo Demesio might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Larra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristo Demesio ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Carrizal AFC defense, Honorato Lucila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Larra. The Carrizal AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Larra should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Carrizal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Lucila came free, but Antonio Larra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorato Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
