Spectators: 7125 (Terracing: 5345, Seating: 1639, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Narciso Javiar started the match with the kick off. In the 9th match minute, Nautico Santo Tomé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Ignado to maneuver through the defense. Nautico Santo Tomé's Narciso Javiar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgilio Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rodrigo Lain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Lains short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Virgilio Gauargi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodrigo Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Escalada FC got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Naike. Nautico Santo Tomé's Benjamin Poncio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Virgilio Gauargi but with some difficulty. Roque Ignado hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Damaso Naike in the 41st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Aureliano Laurgain's left hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Iturri in the 43rd minute of play forced Nautico Santo Tomé's goalkeeper Aureliano Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Gorosti made a kick off. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Diego Gorosti sped through Nautico Santo Tomé's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aureliano Laurgain. Narciso Javiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Virgilio Gauargi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Narciso Javiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Nautico Santo Tomé got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Jerrold. Damaso Naike took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aureliano Laurgain. Nautico Santo Tomé's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Rodrigo Lain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escalada FC's Virgilio Gauargi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nautico Santo Tomé's goalkeeper Aureliano Laurgain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgilio Gauargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Javiar in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Ruben Beturian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nautico Santo Tomé's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escalada FC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Ruben Beturian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Gauargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Lain in the 95th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
