The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Arnaldo Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Gerazan made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Domingo Emeterio sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Traili's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Acevedo came free, but Amador Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Domingo Emeterio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amador Gerazan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Amador Gerazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jockey Club Villa Maria's Danilo Tristan got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Arnaldo Acevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Gerazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Acevedo in the 22nd minute of play forced Traili's goalkeeper Amador Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arnaldo Acevedo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Jockey Club Villa Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Acevedo couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Amador Gerazan threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnaldo Acevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Jockey Club Villa Maria booed when Traili was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Urtungo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Acevedo in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amador Gerazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Traili's Amador Gerazan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Traili from getting a goal against them. In the 38th match minute, Traili was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Barros to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Domingo Emeterio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jockey Club Villa Maria's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Emeterio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Gerazan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Gustau to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Traili's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Acevedo came free, but Amador Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Acevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Gerazan. Traili's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Acevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Danilo Tristan struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Amador Gerazan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jockey Club Villa Maria. A collision led to Traili getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Israel Urtungo hit a great ball. If Arnaldo Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Gerazan came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jockey Club Villa Maria's Arnaldo Acevedo. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Acevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Amador Gerazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Jockey Club Villa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Calvino. Gregorio Criston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Ariando made a huge save. Everardo Sal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Sal scored 5-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amador Gerazan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 80 minutes of play, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Arnaldo Acevedo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amador Gerazan was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Lastur in the 83rd minute of play forced Traili's goalkeeper Amador Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Gerazan having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Traili's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Emeterio came free, but Amador Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Traili's Amador Gerazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Acevedo in the 88th minute of play. Amador Gerazan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Acevedo went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 94th match minute, Traili was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Traili's zone, Marcelo Lertxun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Gerazan came out of the goal and Marcelo Lertxun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
