Balde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Taurino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Javier Uxio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Uxio to make the kick off. Many of Balde's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Balde may have spent more time on the ball, but Durazno were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
