The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Horacio Jusepe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cecilio Tipi. Colazzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Jusepe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cecilio Tipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Horacio Jusepe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cecilio Tipi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Colazzo's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Jusepe came free, but Cecilio Tipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Donato Raymond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Potrillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cecilio Tipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Veremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Venancio Regis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Horacio Jusepe notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Colazzo's Cecilio Tipi. Cecilio Tipi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the game, Horacio Jusepe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Cecilio Tipi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venancio Regis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, El Potrillo's Horacio Jusepe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cecilio Tipi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 57 minutes into the match, Colazzo's goalkeeper Cecilio Tipi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Veremundo. In the 60th minute Rogelio Veremundo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 60 minutes, Urbano Bertin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colazzo and the El Potrillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Colazzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Bertin to maneuver through the defense. Mauricio Mitxaut hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Joel Martxot managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Potrillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Martxot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Tipi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Joel Martxot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cecilio Tipi. After a defensive mix-up in Colazzo's zone, Joel Martxot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Tipi came out of the goal and Joel Martxot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Horacio Jusepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colazzo's Venancio Regis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mauricio Mitxaut, made in the 80th minute of the game. Horacio Jusepe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cecilio Tipi came out and tried to block the shot, but Horacio Jusepe slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 85th minute. Cecilio Tipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Horacio Jusepe took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Cecilio Tipi to make any attempt to save it.
