Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso Piearres in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Jacob prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leszek Watarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Jacob having to interfere. In the 14th minute Narciso Piearres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Piearres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, TOPOLINO 1961's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Watarz came free, but Ceferino Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gaspar Ferman came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the TOPOLINO 1961 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Ferman couldn't finish the play. Ceferino Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Piearres in the 36th minute of play. Ceferino Jacob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Watarz in the 37th minute of the match. Narciso Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ceferino Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leszek Watarz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match Rene Demario sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ceferino Jacob skillfully saved the ball. The TOPOLINO 1961 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gualeguay were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Oinatz to make the kick off. Gaspar Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Amat Jaramillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amat Jaramillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Piearres in the 57th minute of play forced TOPOLINO 1961's goalkeeper Ceferino Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amat Jaramillo having to interfere. Amat Jaramillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Oinatz in the 72nd minute of play. TOPOLINO 1961's Ceferino Jacob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save TOPOLINO 1961 from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes, TOPOLINO 1961's Arturo Berriotxoa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amat Jaramillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TOPOLINO 1961 reached it. A collision led to Gualeguay getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cornelio Joanes hit a great ball. Amat Jaramillo came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by TOPOLINO 1961's Gaspar Ferman. But to his dismay, Gaspar Ferman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Amat Jaramillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gualeguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
