Boca Juniors's Segundo Bembe got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Ismael Castulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes Anselmo Ekain shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for TOPOLINO 1961's Ceferino Jacob to catch but Anselmo Ekain was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. A collision led to TOPOLINO 1961 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ismael Castulo hit a great ball. Eduardo Estebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Raebert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Ferman's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes of play, TOPOLINO 1961's Bartolo Oinatz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Raebert was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edgardo Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Estebe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ceferino Jacob having to make a save. Boca Juniors's Gabriel Raebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Raphael in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Bartolo Oinatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Eduardo Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Jacob having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Segundo Bembe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ceferino Jacob. TOPOLINO 1961's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Bembe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Segundo Bembe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Jacob having to interfere. Gaspar Ferman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gabriel Raebert made a huge save. Boca Juniors were furious when Freddy Santo was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boca Juniors! In the 84th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Argoitz to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Jacob was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Bartolo Oinatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Raebert having to interfere. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Americo Argoitz hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Estebe in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Jacob prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boca Juniors were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
