The supporters of Miramonte booed when Newppy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Casomiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reynaldo Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Diniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Azibar having to make a save. Miramonte's Reynaldo Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Godfredo Etxeberri made a precise shot to the right of Severiano Nesor. Miramonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Godfredo Etxeberri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Severiano Nesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Newppy's Godfredo Etxeberri made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severiano Nesor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Kaxen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Azibar having to interfere. Miramonte's Reynaldo Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Miramonte's Jorge Kaxen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Azibar. Oscar Azibar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Diniz made a kick off. Godfredo Etxeberri kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Newppy's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Diniz came free, but Oscar Azibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Reynaldo Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newppy's Oscar Azibar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiburcio Orzaize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Nesor having to interfere. Newppy's Oscar Azibar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Ibar in the 75th minute of play. If Godfredo Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Newppy's Tiburcio Orzaize in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Miramonte's goalie prevented a goal. Tiburcio Orzaize took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severiano Nesor. Severiano Nesor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Newppy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
