If Ulf Haegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Zakrzewski in the 5th minute of play forced El Cafia's goalkeeper Santiago Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Hieronim Zakrzewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Oskitz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Cafia! El Cafia:s Santiago Ponc showed great skill when he stopped Hieronim Zakrzewski:s penalty. When Hieronim Zakrzewski came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Morrillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hieronim Zakrzewski couldn't finish the play. After 21 played minutes El Cafia got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Dimo. Ulf Haegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Santiago Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Morrillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hieronim Zakrzewski to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Ixidor in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Ponc saved El Cafia from getting behind. In the 34th minute Aldo Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Oinaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Cafia's Santiago Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Haegg in the 36th minute of play. Morrillo FC's Hieronim Zakrzewski got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, one of El Cafia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Morrillo FC. Hieronim Zakrzewski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santiago Ponc. 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Luciano Delfino put in a rough tackle. 47 minutes into the game, one of El Cafia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hieronim Zakrzewski to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Aldo Camerino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Cafia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 62 minutes into the match, Ulf Haegg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Ponc. El Cafia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulf Haegg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Marciano Arixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Oinaz having to interfere. Aldo Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Hieronim Zakrzewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Ponc having to interfere. El Cafia's Santiago Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save El Cafia from getting a goal against them. Santiago Ponc came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Morrillo FC's Alberto Ixidor. But to his dismay, Alberto Ixidor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. El Cafia's Santiago Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save El Cafia from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Aldo Camerino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Oinaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Hieronim Zakrzewski was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 91st minute, Severiano Oskitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Albano Sotero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and El Cafia's Santiago Ponc didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hieronim Zakrzewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morrillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hieronim Zakrzewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Ponc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marciano Arixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Guido Oinaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
