Santiago Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hieronim Zakrzewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Guido Oinaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Camerino's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Santiago Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hieronim Zakrzewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Cristo Baudelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Haegg got free with Santiago Ponc in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Morrillo FC booed when El Cafia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Polentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Ponc made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Alberto Ixidor sent off a good shot on target. Hieronim Zakrzewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Ponc having to interfere. In the 29th minute Aldo Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Oinaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Morrillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Derwin to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Andres Dalmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Hieronim Zakrzewski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santiago Ponc, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Ulf Haegg could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Santiago Ponc however easily saved by the left post. In the 43rd minute of the match Morrillo FC got a corner. El Cafia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albano Sotero ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an all-out effort, Morrillo FC's Santiago Ponc threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hieronim Zakrzewski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Camerino in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Oinaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guido Oinaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Oskitz in the 54th minute. Santiago Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Haegg in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Morrillo FC booed when El Cafia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Camerino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severiano Oskitz got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 77th minute, Severiano Oskitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match Albano Sotero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santiago Ponc skillfully saved the ball. Albano Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Hieronim Zakrzewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Ponc. El Cafia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hieronim Zakrzewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Cafia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Morrillo FC.
