The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Panos Satratzemis struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Joel Cheche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján FC. Tobias Monte hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Leon Idacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Joel Cheche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Cheche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Satratzemis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Monte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Leon Idacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Cheche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Leonardo Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Cheche having to interfere. Joel Cheche came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Luján FC's Leon Idacio. But to his dismay, Leon Idacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tobias Monte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Hermengildo Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Cheche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Satratzemis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Idacio in the 41st minute of play forced Estrugamou's goalkeeper Joel Cheche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estrugamou's Zbyszek Bronkala got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Luján FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Idacio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Estrugamou's goalkeeper Joel Cheche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Satratzemis. When Panos Satratzemis came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Luján FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Satratzemis couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Estrugamou got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Gonsalve. 65 minutes into the match, Estrugamou's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Solustiano came free, but Joel Cheche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermengildo Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Bermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Luján FC defense, Federico Bermudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermengildo Otsoko. The Luján FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermengildo Otsoko should have stopped the shot. After 79 played minutes Estrugamou got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Osasun. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Leon Idacio took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Joel Cheche to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Estrugamou booed when Luján FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Cheche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Dei in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Tobias Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Otsoko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panos Satratzemis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Cheche having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Luján FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
