Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gervasio Cresconio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zeledon Gartzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Gervasio Cresconio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Gartzi having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Espinillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Telesforo to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Paulino Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Chucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Horacio Garikoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espinillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CUBA FENIX FC® the free kick. After a rather tough play, Espinillo FC's Horacio Garikoitz got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Dodorol in the 16th minute of play forced Espinillo FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Gartzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Adrio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Gartzi having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Paulino Ovando notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CUBA FENIX FC®'s Julio Chucho. Julio Chucho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th match minute, CUBA FENIX FC® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Adrio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 30 minutes, Enrique Argi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinillo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Argi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Chucho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Ovando in the 32nd minute of play. Miguel Urbes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Cresconio in the 43rd minute of play forced Espinillo FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Gartzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Dodorol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Gartzi having to interfere. Gervasio Cresconio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Ovando made a kick off. Jaime Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Gartzi having to interfere. Zeledon Gartzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Gartxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, CUBA FENIX FC®'s Gerardo Adrio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gervasio Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot. CUBA FENIX FC®'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Cresconio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Gartzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gervasio Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Zeledon Gartzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gervasio Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Paulino Ovando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alejandro Dodorol managed to get in a good position for a shot. CUBA FENIX FC®'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Dodorol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Gartzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gervasio Cresconio might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Gartzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gervasio Cresconio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute, Diego Telesforo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Gervasio Cresconio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Gartzi. Espinillo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervasio Cresconio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Zeledon Gartzi made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Gervasio Cresconio sent off a good shot on target. Alejandro Dodorol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, Espinillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Telesforo to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Isias took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Gartzi. Zeledon Gartzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Ovando in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Chucho prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
