With a little luck, Espinillo FC's Zeledon Gartzi got control of the ball when Gervasio Cresconio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horacio Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Jaime Dino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Gervasio Cresconio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zeledon Gartzi, passed just outside the right post. In the 22nd minute, Alvaro Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CUBA FENIX FC®'s Julio Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Ovando in the 24th minute of play. Alejandro Dodorol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Gartzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Gervasio Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUBA FENIX FC®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Dodorol during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Alejandro Dodorol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Chucho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Ovando went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zeledon Gartzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Dodorol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Enrique Argi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espinillo FC's protests and gave Enrique Argi a yellow card for diving instead. If Gervasio Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Enaut in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CUBA FENIX FC®'s Alvaro Cordera. After a rather tough play, Espinillo FC's Rodrigo Che got a free kick in the 48th minute. The CUBA FENIX FC® players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espinillo FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Gervasio Cresconio made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Gervasio Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUBA FENIX FC®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alejandro Dodorol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Espinillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Dalmu. The supporters of CUBA FENIX FC® booed when Espinillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Ovando scored 0-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Chucho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Gartzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gervasio Cresconio's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Diego Telesforo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Alejandro Dodorol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CUBA FENIX FC®'s Julio Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Ovando in the 78th minute of play. If Paulino Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeledon Gartzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Isias in the 84th minute of play. If Alejandro Dodorol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Chucho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Ovando went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle went the supporters of Espinillo FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant CUBA FENIX FC® side.
