The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Rivero got free with Teodoro Ipar in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th match minute, Mailín AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Gaur to maneuver through the defense. Benigno Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Godfredo Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mailín AFC's zone, Florencio Bernabel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Ekain came out of the goal and Florencio Bernabel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the game, Salvador Pelagius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodoro Ipar. Salvador Pelagius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Mailín AFC's Filomeno Gaur got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Benigno Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uzcudum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Ipar made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Hugo Rivero sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Pelagius did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Teodoro Ipar 35 minutes into the match. When Ezequiel Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Uzcudum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Theobald couldn't finish the play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teodoro Ipar firmly grabbed it by the left post. 48 minutes into the game, Mailín AFC's Hugo Rivero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Ipar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Teodoro Ipar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Pelagius in the 72nd minute of the match. Florencio Bernabel's late challenge caught a Mailín AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Hugo Rivero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Teodoro Ipar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Pelagius in the 86th minute of play. Florencio Bernabel hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Hugo Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
