But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Calisto couldn't finish the play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lorien in the 57th minute of play forced Aletic de Aimogasta's goalkeeper Jonathan Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aletic de Aimogasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Casimiro Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aletic de Aimogasta's supporters rose to their feet, but Casimiro Hats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Peruanton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Independiente fully deserved thier win.
