In the 7th minute Gaudencio Dimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Academia FC's zone, Alejo Eduino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Fanuco came out of the goal and Alejo Eduino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Fanuco having to interfere. Domingos Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Eduino in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Mackenna booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Virila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Olivar. Mackenna's Alejo Eduino got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by German Lico. In the 49th minute, Alejo Eduino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fidel Quico was the one to do the kick off. Domingos Fanuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Braga in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Noel Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mackenna's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Fanuco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejo Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Domingos Fanuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Quico in the 78th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Academia FC's Fidel Quico dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mackenna fully deserved thier win.
