Justo Chaime dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Concepción's Esteban Eskuin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Peruanton in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Evaristo Peruanton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Esteban Eskuin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 43 played minutes Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Maiorga. If Evaristo Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Maiorga to make the kick off. Jonas Sagrario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Justo Chaime when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Jonas Sagrario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Concepción fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Jonas Sagrario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Antonio Cristofol came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Liverpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Cristofol couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Quexal hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Esteban Eskuin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Cristofol in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Concepción's Jonas Sagrario got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Havly. Roque Gamus lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Liverpool:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Concepción:s goal. Justo Chaime went to the wrong direction when Antonio Estevon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 98 minutes Concepción's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Evaristo Peruanton who took care of the corner kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Concepción eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
