Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Saldaña's Baldomero Cordarrel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Teodoro Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triulzanga Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Vedillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teo Piearres hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Matias Iliana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Mingo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Saldaña getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Teo Piearres hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Teodoro Vedillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Matias Iliana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Zeledon Lastur put in a rough tackle. Triulzanga Fútbol Club made a substitution. Sergio Atauri replaced Celestino Mingo. The supporters of Saldaña booed when Triulzanga Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salbatore Goicoechea acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cleto Playo. When Casimiro Guillerme fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Triulzanga Fútbol Club's protests and gave Casimiro Guillerme a yellow card for diving instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Atauri made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Cleto Playo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salbatore Goicoechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Cordarrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Raul Nahia hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Rene Cristofol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute of the match Teodoro Vedillo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Iliana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matias Iliana came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Triulzanga Fútbol Club's Sergio Atauri. But to his dismay, Sergio Atauri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Triulzanga Fútbol Club's Salbatore Goicoechea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Calabrano in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute Baldomero Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salbatore Goicoechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes, Nicolas Juvenal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Triulzanga Fútbol Club and the Saldaña players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolas Juvenal hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Godofredo Calabrano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saldaña's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Calabrano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salbatore Goicoechea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salbatore Goicoechea came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Saldaña's Ignacio Diaz. But to his dismay, Ignacio Diaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Matias Iliana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Triulzanga Fútbol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
