Jaime Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Leandro Theodore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ysidro Palmero in the 7th minute of play forced Fontezuela's goalkeeper Lino Enaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Ysidro Palmero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CHAU and the Fontezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ysidro Palmero hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Donato Dayam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Lino Enaut made a huge save. With 17 minutes on the clock, Melchor Roano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 17th minute, one of Fontezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fontezuela. Lino Enaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ysidro Palmero, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Gervasio Unai came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the CHAU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Unai couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Ysidro Palmero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Enaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Carmelo Ferrer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CHAU's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fontezuela the free kick. After having played for 42 minutes, Gavino Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fontezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Martxel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jaime Arano came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Fontezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Arano couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Arano to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Martxel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Theodore having to make a save. CHAU's Leandro Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Arano in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Carmelo Ferrer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Fontezuela's Gavino Martxel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Theodore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Fontezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Bembe to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Donato Dayam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Enaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Gervasio Unai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CHAU fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 88th minute, Jaime Arano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leandro Theodore was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Gervasio Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Jaime Arano made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Theodore. CHAU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Fontezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
