When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Baldomero Nazario put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ladislao Hanni. In the 30th minute, Evelio Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute Baldomero Nazario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
