Dionisio Firmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Lehoi in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 played minutes El Hijo del Viento got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Telo. Dionisio Firmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Lehoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, La Juanita's Ruben Lehoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dionisio Firmo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Dionisio Firmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Lehoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The El Hijo del Viento players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Juanita were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Telo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anibal Telo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Llope having to interfere. After some careless play in the El Hijo del Viento defense, Ruben Lehoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionisio Firmo. The El Hijo del Viento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionisio Firmo should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Nunez Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Hijo del Viento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Juanita the free kick.
