After 40 played minutes, Chivilcoy's Edgardo Aznaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dionisio Firmo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivilcoy reached it. In the 47thth minute of the game Anibal Telo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivilcoy's Marcelino Tab was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Larpe made a kick off. Dionisio Firmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Larpe in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Olentzaro got free with Dionisio Firmo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chivilcoy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Hijo del Viento.
