The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Sein got free with Bruno Lorien in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Daevy Hofnagels hit a great ball. Bruno Lorien acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nicasio Txerran. 67 minutes into the match, Brinkman's Victoriano Arotza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Lorien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70thth minute of the game Artemio Enol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brinkman's Silverio Eneko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silverio Eneko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Iban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silverio Eneko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Enol in the 86th minute of play. Horacio Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manchester United fully deserved thier win.
