If Constantino Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 10 minutes, Constantino Micael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zubillaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Micael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ayui AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Constantino Micael 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ubaldo Presebal might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Gorri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Presebal ran back to his position shaking his head. Zeledon Gorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Micael in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Ayui AFC's goalkeeper Zeledon Gorri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubaldo Presebal. Constantino Micael might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Gorri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Micael ran back to his position shaking his head. Ubaldo Presebals short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Zeledon Gorri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Micael was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute Ubaldo Presebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Gorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ayui AFC's Zeledon Gorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Presebal in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Ubaldo Presebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Constantino Micael came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Zubillaga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Micael couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Zubillaga FC booed when Ayui AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Reno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Ayui AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Presebal came free, but Zeledon Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Presebal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Gorri having to make a save. Ubaldo Presebal struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zeledon Gorri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zubillaga FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantino Micael in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Gorri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Amador Mazuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Micael in the 84th minute of play forced Ayui AFC's goalkeeper Zeledon Gorri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Presebal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Gorri having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Amador Mazuste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayui AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amador Mazuste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ayui AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
