The Daireaux fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Zeledon Rami came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Brinkmann fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Rami couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Rodolfo Suero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Daireaux's Rodolfo Suero made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guaberto Lico was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Rami made a kick off. Augusto Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Lixandro having to interfere.
