Gaspar Francia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Gurutz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Ireno in the 38th minute of play forced Quijana AFC's goalkeeper Hilario Gurutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Quijana AFC booed when Sporting Luque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boniel Ramis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quijana AFC's zone, Gaspar Francia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Gurutz came out of the goal and Gaspar Francia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
