Gustavo Gaufred didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Cucao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Rufino's zone, Lino Servando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Estevez came out of the goal and Lino Servando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lino Servando kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edelmiro Estevez. That made the score 1-2 in the 24 minute of play. In the 28th minute Blas Gergori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Estevez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Urre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Edelmiro Estevez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 30th match minute, Metegol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Jakobe to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Metegol's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Sansone came free, but Ladislao Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Gutierrez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Metegol's players were relieved. 78 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rufino's Juan Gutierrez fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Rufino getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bonifacio Bento hit a great ball. When Silvestre Sansone in the 97th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ladislao Cucao kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-8 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The Rufino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rufino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
