An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Beliran in the 47th minute of play forced Riachuelo AFC's goalkeeper Bernabe Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Gutemberg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Osorio made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Beliran in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernabe Lixandro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruperto Beliran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bernabe Lixandro made a huge save. 58 minutes into the game, Fabio Firmo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bernabe Lixandro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 65 in the game by Ruperto Beliran from a close distance when the talented Bernabe Lixandro managed to make a qualified save. Riachuelo AFC's players were relieved. Severino Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Modestio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Osorio in the 81st minute of play. After 86 minutes Gutemberg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvio Bastian who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Silvio Bastian almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gutemberg's Remigio Modestio did a great save. If Adolfo Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Riachuelo AFC's zone, Everardo Ekialde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Lixandro came out of the goal and Everardo Ekialde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Modestio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Beila in the 95th minute of the match. Gutemberg's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
