If Severino Beila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Osorio in the 14th minute of play forced Rocha FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Gergori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. One of Riachuelo AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rocha FC:s goal. Modesto Leizarraga shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Beila in the 30th minute of play forced Rocha FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Gergori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Riachuelo AFC's goalkeeper Bernabe Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Claude. 34 minutes into the game, Riachuelo AFC's Adolfo Osorio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Osorio in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Gergori saved Rocha FC from getting behind. After the first half Riachuelo AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Pueblo made a kick off. If Hernan Claude had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Osorio struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Aquilino Gergori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riachuelo AFC. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 played minutes Rocha FC got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Kemen. A hard shot 83 in the game by Severino Beila from a close distance when the talented Aquilino Gergori managed to make a qualified save. Rocha FC's players were relieved. When Riachuelo AFC's Adolfo Osorio in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rocha FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rocha FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Gergori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Osorio in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Gergori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Beila struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Aquilino Gergori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riachuelo AFC. Adolfo Osorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Gergori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Severino Beila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Gergori having to interfere.
