During the 68th minute of the match Marcelino Basualdo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcelino Basualdo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 69 played minutes Los Fruteros got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Basualdo. Mircho Vezenkov made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ademar Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Chavez in the 74th minute of play. Arsenio Arnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Lorenzo de Almagro's Nunez Ospin was substituted for Enzo Gorri. Los Fruteros's attentive Silvano Diaz managed to snatch the ball when Fernan Mateo made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game.
