After 19 minutes, Hipolito Baumer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faro AFC and the Verde de Arroyito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anselmo Maties didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verde de Arroyito. Jaime Satordi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Maties having to make a save. Gerardo Damario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pastor Mendiko hit a great ball. Jaime Satordi got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hipolito Baumer made the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Maties having to interfere. Hector Barea had in the 99thth minute some difficulties stopping Ismael Montel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 99 minutes of play, Faro AFC's Ismael Montel made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Barea was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 102nd minute Hipolito Baumer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Faro AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
