But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Selmo couldn't finish the play. Mauricio Ciano took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Pereyra. Marcelo Pereyra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marcelo Pereyra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Ciano in the 13th minute of play. Los Narigones were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Net Space Cyber World's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sixto Cheche took the corner. The corner led Los Narigones's Nestor Nesor to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Pereyra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ricardo Lizer could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Maximo Gartxot however easily saved by the left post. In the 25th minute Ildefonso Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Ildefonso Florinio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Narigones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Florinio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Narigones would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
