Epifanio Eguzki charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Eguzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, one of Ramblón AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ramblón AFC. The referee gave River Plate a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernando Garaona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ramblón AFC's Rene Oliviero. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Ismael Gasteiz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anselmo Incendio, 1-1. Rene Oliviero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Hurko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Oliviero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Hurko in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Hurko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 85th minute, Leandro Hurko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Leandro Hurko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rene Oliviero. That made the score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Gasteiz came free, but Anselmo Incendio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Oliviero made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jesus Abecia sent off a good shot on target.
