Leicester TDF's Saturnino Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ismael Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Ramond stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ismael Ascencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gennadiy Klochko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Ramond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Concepción's Ricardo Quintun got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Leicester TDF's Saturnino Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Leicester TDF fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Leicester TDF's Eusebio Ramond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Romeo Mede received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gennadiy Klochko came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeo Mede slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 76th minute. Romeo Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennadiy Klochko having to interfere. Saturnino Giraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, German Sanduru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concepción's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leicester TDF the free kick. After 85 played minutes, Leicester TDF's Nicolas Baumer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeledon Peter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leicester TDF reached it. Gennadiy Klochko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Ascencio in the 88th minute of play. If Eusebio Ramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Concepción supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Concepción would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
