Nicolas Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Vellito having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Ferrocarril Sud de Tandil got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Quiroga. In the 23rd minute Isidoro Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Palo Viejo's zone, Isidoro Rubio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Vellito came out of the goal and Isidoro Rubio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Rubio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Vellito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, C.A. Palo Viejo's goalkeeper Abelardo Vellito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Bernal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Jokin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Isidoro Rubio made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Vellito. C.A. Palo Viejo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Rubio in the 62nd minute of play forced C.A. Palo Viejo's goalkeeper Abelardo Vellito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to C.A. Palo Viejo getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ramon Peli hit a great ball. After 74 minutes of play, Ferrocarril Sud de Tandil's Isidoro Rubio made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Vellito was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of C.A. Palo Viejo booed when Ferrocarril Sud de Tandil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Vellito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Bernal in the 82nd minute of play. If Isidoro Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute Isidoro Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Vellito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Rubio in the 92nd minute of play. Artemio Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Abelardo Vellito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ferrocarril Sud de Tandil players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
