The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Cirilo Illart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bañado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Asterix El Galo the free kick. After 5 minutes of play, Bañado's Emiliano Mattin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Derwin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anibal Derwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Mattin in the 9th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Emiliano Mattin made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Asterix El Galo's Anibal Derwin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Derwin came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Bañado's Fidel Magdaleno. But to his dismay, Fidel Magdaleno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Bañado's Emiliano Mattin in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Asterix El Galo's goalie prevented a goal. Mauro Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anibal Derwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Magdaleno in the 29th minute of play forced Asterix El Galo's goalkeeper Anibal Derwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Emiliano Mattin put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Anibal Derwin. Serafino Lauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Derwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Lauren, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Emiliano Mattin scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Derwin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urtats Quelia to make the kick off. When Emiliano Mattin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Bañado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Mattin couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Asterix El Galo's Anibal Derwin got control of the ball when Andres Raebert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anibal Derwin was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Serafino Lauren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Serafino Lauren really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Anibal Derwin made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Emiliano Mattin sent off a good shot on target. Bañado were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Asterix El Galo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomás Vermudo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tomás Vermudo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anibal Derwin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres George in the 70th minute of play forced Asterix El Galo's goalkeeper Anibal Derwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Maximino Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asterix El Galo's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Crescencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Bañado booed when Asterix El Galo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Mattin in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anibal Derwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Hotz's late challenge caught a Bañado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Hotz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Hernan Hotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bañado's Tomás Vermudo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
