Osvaldo Abella scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severo Rencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Osvaldo Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Bastian hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Munio in the 21st minute of play forced Deportivo La Gloria's goalkeeper Severo Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Osvaldo Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute Isaias Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Isidoro Dabi made a precise shot to the right of Severo Rencio. Deportivo La Gloria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Osvaldo Abella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Deportivo La Gloria's Teodoro Sindo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Severo Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Perutxo in the 33rd minute of the match. Leonel Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Narciso Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Rencio came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Popoy AFC's Isidoro Dabi. But to his dismay, Isidoro Dabi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Donato Eneto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Joel Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Narciso Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Orkatz in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Perutxo in the 54th minute of play forced Deportivo La Gloria's goalkeeper Severo Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Raitin charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Raitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute Isaias Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Rencio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Osvaldo Abella sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Isaias Perutxo took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Severo Rencio to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Abella got free with Severo Rencio in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidoro Dabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Dabi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Severo Rencio made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Popoy AFC's Isaias Perutxo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severo Rencio. That made the score 1-7 after 89 minutes of play. Popoy AFC played a much better game than Deportivo La Gloria and deserved their victory. The Deportivo La Gloria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
