With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Aurken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Los Borrachos del Tablon's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Lander came free, but Arturo Gutxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Chayo got free with Severino Aurken in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Bastía's Ramon Amaya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo Gutxi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Silvestre Eli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Aurken having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Los Borrachos del Tablon's zone, Severiano Cordearo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Gutxi came out of the goal and Severiano Cordearo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Osvaldo Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Aurken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Calixto's late challenge caught a Los Borrachos del Tablon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Calixto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bastía getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Angelo Calixto hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Los Borrachos del Tablon's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Calixto came free, but Arturo Gutxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Los Borrachos del Tablon's Pascual Chayo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Severino Aurken. Severino Aurken yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 44 played minutes Bastía got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Abascal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pascual Chayo to strike the kick off in the second half. Arturo Gutxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Cordearo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Los Borrachos del Tablon's Pascual Chayo in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Los Borrachos del Tablon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascual Chayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bastía's Severino Aurken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Savier in the 76th minute of play. Ulises Jenaro hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes, Bastía's Eusebio Enol shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arturo Gutxi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bastía reached it. 84 minutes into the game, Severiano Cordearo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arturo Gutxi. Severiano Cordearo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Los Borrachos del Tablon made a substitution. Godofredo Martxot replaced Osvaldo Gentza. In the 93rd match minute, Bastía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Calixto to maneuver through the defense. Los Borrachos del Tablon's Arturo Gutxi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Los Borrachos del Tablon from getting a goal against them.
