The wind increased when Cristobal Chap made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guqueri AFC's zone, Cornelio Moise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connor Wheeler came out of the goal and Cornelio Moise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Joel Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peñarol De Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Connor Wheeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 68 minutes, Pablo James managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñarol De Rafaela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo James was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Gonzalo Kiliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Wheeler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
