Frederik Gurok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Ferman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Ferman in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederik Gurok saved Banfield from getting behind. Ricardo Dei took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederik Gurok. Frederik Gurok dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witalis Kluska in the 16th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Frederik Gurok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Lizardi's late challenge caught a Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebio Lizardi helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uniontate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! With an all-out effort, Uniontate's Frederik Gurok threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moises Ferman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Ferman made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Moises Ferman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederik Gurok was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. When Mario Cerilo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uniontate's protests and gave Mario Cerilo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Mario Cerilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederik Gurok came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Uniontate's Moises Ferman. But to his dismay, Moises Ferman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Flavio Cordarell's late challenge caught a Uniontate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Cordarell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Nafarroa came free, but Frederik Gurok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Moises Ferman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederik Gurok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederik Gurok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Dei in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Witalis Kluska managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uniontate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witalis Kluska was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Witalis Kluska shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederik Gurok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Witalis Kluska recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Uniontate were the better team. Uniontate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
