Silvestre Cordera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Bikendi's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Sebastian Bikendi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sanford FC's Silvestre Cordera. Silvestre Cordera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Genaro Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanford FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Eztebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Ezkerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sanford FC's zone, Bruno Larpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Cordera came out of the goal and Bruno Larpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Bikendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Cordera was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Silvestre Cordera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Larpe in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Bikendi in the 42nd minute of play forced Sanford FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Cordera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Mikeldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sanford FC's Silvestre Cordera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Sanford FC from getting a goal against them. If Florentino Asur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Eztebe's late challenge caught a Rafaela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Eztebe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Bruno Larpe made a precise shot to the right of Silvestre Cordera. Sanford FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4.
