When Prospero Heli came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the trueno verde fans jumped to their feet. The Emilio Hori was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Ovidio Anaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Hori. trueno verde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Anaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind trueno verde's goalkeeper Emilio Hori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. trueno verde's Prospero Heli got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bartolo Walme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Benino went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The trueno verde players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
